'Entanglement'
Hilary was commisioned by synthesizer trio QRM to create artwork in response to a series of musical pieces composed by the group on themes of quantum mechanics.
All the drawings were created freehand using an electronic drawing pad, rather than her usual pastels, which was an ideal fit for the brief.
The drawings have been made into a video to accompany the live performance of the music. This brings the project full circle, the musicians playing in response to the images that were originally inspired by their music.
The performance will debut at the Orkney International Science Festival on September 4th, the opening day of the festival.
It's hoped to be able to include a video here of the images and music in the future.
